“Returning Hut”

Chinese architect Xu Fu-Min is a Master of Fine Arts, a general manager and a creative director of FM. X Interior Design. The architect designed a nature house on the outskirts of Xiamen,China as a peaceful retreat from city life. Therefore his design literally lets the outdoors in by incorporating stone from the surrounding mountains.
The residential project, known as “Returning Hut” , is a two-storey property that not only makes use of natural materials, but also allows the natural terrain to extend inside. Apart from the rock, and the stone bricks, most noteworthy are the sky high windows that helps the landscape blend together with the entire house.
In conclusion, wood is mostly used to the greatest degree in almost all spaces to emphasize simplicity.
