Agnona. Fall 2014 Ready to Wear.
Stefano Pilati after making his début as Agnona’s creative director with Collezione Zero, he presented his second line : Collezione Uno. The former Yves Saint Laurent creative director has been enlisted to help refresh the Ermenegildo Zegna’s menswear line, as well as ” Agnona”, its secondary womenswear franchise. Pilati’s vision for the sister label is a strong statement against the fashion cycle. The concept references Group Zero, a European art movement established during Agnona’s formative years in the late ’50s, which embraced rejecting the framework of traditional ways of revealing art in galleries. In the future, collections won’t have typical season names but be called, “One,” “Two,” etc.
The “Cara” tote – the first designed by Pilati for the Italian house – was placed on a display table supported by a faux goat’s leg, reminding the fashion community of the Zegna family’s century-old history and its first wool mill in the Alpine foothills.
The designer used elegant materials and the outfits are very chic, sophisticated with modern elements. Top picks : The long dresses decorated with wavy stripes, that reported Pilati’s love for surfing the waves of Hawaii and the gorgeous neck jewelry.
