Berluti Spring / Summer 2014 Collection, Menswear.
The Secret Garden.
Berluti’s SS 2014 collection, was loose, simple and chic. It’s only the fourth collection for the house since it has only recently been transformed into a full service menswear. Presented in the courtyard of the Place des Vosges the event was inspired from Impressionist paintings of well dressed men eating, drinking and relaxing in the countryside, and for this reason the house selected for the show this 17th century private mansion surrounded by a secret garden. In addition, it is Berluti’s creative director, Alessandro Sartori, formerly at Z-Zegna, that prefers to present his collections by inviting guests to naturally examine his creations.
Slim suits with waistcoats and boater hats are the main looks for the house. The color palette lies among aubergine, plum, mustard, cobalt, dark brown, grey. When it comes to fabrics, it was used linen and silk, lightweight for summer but also leather and knits.
