Mostly known as wife of Paul McCartney and mother of the designer  Stella McCartney, Linda McCartney was born in 1941, and past away in 1998 from breast cancer. She was one of the most gifted photographers in the 20th century as she managed to capture great moments of rock and roll, the sixties, her family life and nature. Her portraits count huge names of the music stage like Aretha Franklin, Jimmy Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones.

Her reputation expanded when she photographed Mick Jagger on a yacht at the Hudson River, New York while a press conference in June 1966 and in 1967 when Linda photographed The Beatles at the launch of their album “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band“  she fell in love with Paul and got married two years later. Vienna’s Kunst Haus is hosting the exhibition and presents 190 of her iconic photographs and will run until 6th October.
