Among all the brilliant leading men of his generation, Steve McQueen was like a rough-cut diamond. Three decades after his death, the King of Cool has lost none of his charm: enigmatic, cool, sexy, machismo. This man was the embodiment of effortless cool and overwhelming confidence(!) The man who became an actor, a star, a style icon, a legend.

Off-screen, the actor was passionate about motorbike and car racing. While he studied acting, he participated in weekend motorcycle races and bought his first motorcycle with his winnings. In addition, he also designed a bucket seat and transbrake for race cars. His passion for speed was so strong that he owned numerous exotic sport cars and collected classic motorcycles. By the time of his death, his collection included over 100 and was valued in the millions of dollars.

Genuine American style, The King of Cool, Steve McQueen was often seen with a white, v-neck t-shirt, denim, shawl-collared cardigans, Harrington jackets (lightweight alternative to heavier layers), windbreaks, sport coats, with the famous A-2 Bomper Jackets ( knit waist and cuffs, and the leather, so shiny and smooth).

“There’s something about my shaggy-dog eyes that makes people think I’m good.”

“I just want the brass ring and the pine trees, my old lady, my kids and the green grass. I
want to get rich and fat and watch my kids grow.”

“I live for myself and I answer to nobody.”

“When I believe in something, I fight like hell for it.”
